Dear Parents, as we enter the last week of the summer holidays I’m sure that most of you are thinking about the return to normality and the challenge of re-establishing your child’s routine. We look forward to seeing everyone back in September for an amazing end to the year! We hope everyone had a fantastic summer holiday.
It will be absolutely no surprise that most kids are not going to be particularly positive about going back to school, going training, going to bed early or doing anything that involves not doing what they want!
Expect the worst; “I hate school I don’t want to go” “I don’t want to do martial arts anymore” “why do I have to go to bed earlier again?” (Tears, arguing, tantrums)
Remember that they are children! It is your decision to choose what is right for your child not theirs! The lessons we teach them now will have a huge impact on their future. Children don’t understand how their martial arts classes will give them the skills to succeed and that missing school could negatively impact their future. Children are present focused and they do not look long term!
The instructor team is ready to team up with you to help remind your child on why they started martial arts traning, how far they have come and what the benfits to them will be of getting back into class this week and working hard towards their next martial arts goal. Kyoshi Pankiewicz
