Black Belt Is Just the Beginning

by KickFit Martial Arts · Mar 29, 2026

Saturday 21st March 2026 was somthing special

56 candidates stepped onto the floor to test for their Black Belt. Years of training came down to one moment.

Led by 5th Dan Samuel and 4th Dan Priya, the standard was high from the first minute to the last. Both were awarded their Master titles, a proud moment for them and for KickFit.

Then everything changed.

The Whispers of Greatness.

The hall fell completely silent.

Parents stood face to face with their child. No distractions. Just a few quiet words of love, pride and belief.

You could feel the weight of it.

This was not just a belt being earned. This was a family moment.

During the High Dan ceremony, the families of Gabriela, Ruby, Priya and Samuel stepped forward to present their belts. Pride, respect and emotion filled the room. There was not a dry eye. Hugs were shared as years of effort were recognised in a single moment.

Kyoshi Ken Pankiewicz, KickFit Founder, spoke about one thing above all.

Consistency.

Turning up when it is hard. Training when you are tired. Staying with it when progress feels slow.

That is what builds a Black Belt.

And that is what builds success in school, at work and in life.

To every candidate, you earned this.

To every parent, you were part of it.

Black Belts are not given.

They are built.
